Japanese TV

Have been wanting to update for days, just about whats happening here and stuff but blogger wouldn't open.. now when i was able to log in, i have nothing to say.. so im writing about japanese TV.. boring probably unless you've seen it..

I’ve seen a couple of episodes of various dramas while in Japan.. Some were quite interesting, interesting enough to keep me entertained without understanding 95% of what was being said LOL. Here are a couple, im listing them so when the season’s over I can search for them online and watch them. I’m too impatient to wait week in week out to see what happens, so I prefer to wait until the season is over and I can watch the thing in one long drama fest ;)

My favourite is Bara no nai hanaya. Katori Shingo from SMAP is the lead.

I’ve also watched some eps of Saito-san which is quite funny.

Binbo Danshi, staring Oguri Shun. I didn’t like this one so much but I think I might of seen a boring episode.. the whole thing is probably interesting.

1 Pound no Fukuin, kazuya kamenashi’s newest drama. I don’t know what to make of it really, him falling for a nun LOL but the episode I watched was hilarious.

Edison no Haha, this is really good. About a teacher and this little naughty boy. I watched 2 eps and really enjoyed them

Sasaki Fusai no Jingi Naki Tatakai, this drama is being advertised everywhere, billboards, TV, everywhere but I have no idea about it except that Inagaki Goro from SMAP is the male lead.

I watched quite a lot of TV in Japan, for someone supposedly on holiday. Since my bro got up late every morning and we came back to the hotel early every evening, I had a lot of time and nothing to do. So I averaged about 4 hours of TV a day.. I watched so many interesting shows, and its interesting how I enjoyed them all without understanding much of what was being said.. its amazing actually LOL. OK, the stereotype about most Japanese shows being funny and whacky and bizarre as hell, is true! LOL but that’s a good thing.. I really enjoyed the show..

I’d like to talk about every show ive seen but I cant remember them and you’ll be bored to death, you have to see them to know what I mean ;)

There were these 2 guys on TV, wearing tight tank tops and tight speedo shorts, I saw them daily on more than one show. They are so hilarious.. at the beginning I hated them but then I got into them.. LOL I don’t know how to explain it.. On one of the shows they had to eat everything that baskin robbins sells.. took them 2 days and was funny as hell.. Watch this video of them if you want, maybe you’ll understand just a little bit of what im talking about.. (its about exercising in different situations, during a funeral, at an eye exam, while putting out a fire LOL)

Anyways, all I have to say is I LOVE JAPANESE TV! It’s the best!

Cheers

11,12,13

I should’ve written before, I’ve forgotten all that happened.. but my last days in Japan, I just wanted to enjoy every minute.

On day 11, I think, we went to Tokyo station to meet fefechan and her brother.. I wore my longest top/dress LOL coz I didn’t want her brother to see me in my trousers, and I looked so stupid with my coat shorter than the dress LOL.. oh well, never mind..

My bro had a fight with me while we were waiting, he wanted me to sit down (god knows why) and I wanted to walk around the platform coz I was tired of sitting.. anyways, he almost made me cry.. horrible boy..

Then fefechan arrived and we took the train to Disneyland.. it was nice to finally go to Disneyland although im 21 years old LOL we really had fun playing on all the rides.. and comparing anything there to what it would be like here.. LOL.. it was really fun and cold..

After that we left together (their bro and mine left 5 hours before us or something), and we almost missed our stop.. we saw everyone get off but we didn’t think we reached Tokyo station so fast so we remained seated.. until i noticed where we were LOL and we hurried out of the train.. then I left the girls and continued on another train to get to the hotel, being such a nice sister ;) I bought my bro dinner on the way.. Then I guess I watched TV, cant remember..

Day 12, it snowed in Tokyo! After I’d taken a 9 hour trip to see snow, 2 days later it snowed in Tokyo! (im glad I got to use my new umbrella LOL) We went to Harajuku again, kiddyland and oriental bazaar again! And I went in a couple of nice shops there.. I found this accessories place called Accessory Square Louis Novelle Club which has really nice stuff and I spent a fortune there.. Then we went to shibuya again to Friday’s and had lunch there.. Then we went to Akihabara for the 5th time maybe LOL and my bro got stuff for his car.. then I stopped at the hotel’s conbini and bought loads of sweets to bring back home..

Day 13, we left for the airport..

Today:

I gave everyone their presents.. and put all the others in bags to give them to people.. going to show everyone photos next.. it seems so weird to be home.. and I really wish I was back in Japan.. its nice to be home but Japan is kjust so cool.. hopefully, next year I’ll go again.. I’ll be working by then (hopefully) so need to ask for money, just a travel companion LOL..

That’s all for now.. hope fefechan’s enjoying her last day in Japan..

Cheers

day 9 photos

This is the ice cream i had, ive seen it on TV so i bought it, its a thin layer of stretchy mochi and then ice cream, it was yummy.. but ice cream when its snowing is not a good idea although the Japanese do it all the time.. when its freezing outside you find them ecting ice cream..This is a tiny snowman we found.. we tried to make one but without gloves its was so hard..
This is the hida no sato, noticed the frozen lake.. so cool

All the other photos are either snow photos or movies.. so thats all your getting for now..

Day 9 and 10

On Sunday we got up really early in order to board our shinkansen at 8 from Tokyo station. It took 2 hours to Nagoya with mainly views of the sea/ocean, but I enjoyed the ride. The people on the train were all chatty and excited and all of them had their eki-ben with them (bento bought from the station for long journeys). At Nagoya it was so cold, probably -5 or something but no snow. Then we boarded another train to get to takayama which took 2 and a half hours. The ride was full of really beautiful views especially towards the end when we could see the snow.. We arrived at takayama at 1:30 pm to a town full of snow, but it wasn’t falling, just there from before. We went to a place called Hida no sato (hida folk village) which looked amazing, its full of these old houses with sloped roofs and you can go inside them and see what they have in and how they used to live.. but after an hour going around the village, it was enough. The town is so small we walked and walked and couldn’t find anywhere decent to eat, (or anywhere with an English menu), finally we found a hotel and asked them and they directed us to McDonalds. After lunch we bought some gifts; I found some cool Japanese crockery mugs that I got for my mum, dad, and nana. Then we decided we didn’t want to take a chance with the ryokan,to go all the way to it (its at the end of town) and find its really horrible. So we went back to the hotel we passed earlier on and stayed there for the night. There was nothing to do.. my bro made me watch sumo with him for an hour and then at 6:15 we both went to sleep LOL.i got up at 8:15 thinking its morning, I went to the window and found it was snowing.. such an amazing sight, I stayed up for an hour just watching the snow falling.. then I went back to bed, woke up at 6 AM, and boarded our train at 7. By 12:30 and after one train transfer we reached Tokyo station. We came and checked in at the hotel first and rested for an hour then went to Akihabara again, my bro wanted to get an RC car (I think that’s what its called). A car that works with a remote control, but not the kiddy kind, the kind that works on plane fuel.. anyways, it took us 3 hours, and walked around everywhere (the guys at every shop gave us a map to another place..) and finally he got it.. and it weights 10 kilos or something, so he decided we were going to take a taxi to the hotel..Oh and in akiba we stopped at that Indian place were we had the cheese nan before and we had some , yumm..

Once we got here I just glued myself to the TV LOL I watched 2 doramas, one with the guy from SMAP and one with kame..

PS in shibuya the other day we were buying stuff and waiting to pay and the lady in the shop noticed the key ring on my bag, and she pointd and she was like ‘yamapi!’ and I was like ‘daisuki desu’ and she laughed and showed the other older lady.. LOL.. and on the train today a young guy was sitting opposite me and didn’t even notice me then I saw him look at the yamapi key right, then he looked up to see who was sitting there, and he saw me and he was shocked LOL I could see his face change, he didn’t expect it.. LOL

Anyways, today we’re meeting up with fefechan at Tokyo station then going to Disneyland together.. im so excited to see her (considering we don’t even see each other in our country).. im sure we’ll have lots of fun ;)

Bash, where ARE you? I think I’ll call you later on today..

Just one more day left here after today, and on the 24th we’re leaving early in the morning, our flight from narita is at 10 something.. I really don’t wont to leave, but I miss everyone at home.. I think I might cry on the way back LOL I love this country so much.. hopefully, I will come back again.. I will try my best.. maybe this summer?! Maybe next year.. but most of all, im happy coz I finally got to live one of my biggest dreams, and I wasn’t disappointed by it.. I LOVE YOU DAD for making my dream come true :)

Day 8

Today we went to Shibuya. First of all we walked for miles tryin to find a book store called Book 1st and couldn’t find it.. then we went to Tokyu Hands which sells everythings, it has furtniture, bags, cosmetics, stationary, shoes….ect everything. We only went to the floor with stationary and I bought sooo mnay cute stuff from there, we spend about a 1000 just on stationary and the cashier looked at us like we were crazy. Then we found a ‘thank god its Friday’s’ ;) and had lunch there, their menu is diffenrtn than ours and the food was amazing. Then we walked around some more and I found a place called funky street, little corner shop, it was so cool and funky, and I got some cute stuff there.. Then we went to Tower Records. I’m not sutre how many floors they have, but we only went to two, they sell music CDs and DVDs and some magazines. And I bought more CDs, SMAP and WaT ( a new band I like), and my bro got some weird Japanese jazz or soul or something..

Then we found a shop selling traditional Japanese stuff, the store is about half the size of my bedroom, and we spent another 1000 there, we bought half the store. LOL. They had caps with kimono fabric designs on them that were amazing.. plus other stuff…

Then we went to see HAchiko statue which is a statue of a dog, the story goes that a man had a dog who walked with him to the station everymorening and then waited for hm to come back from work and walked back with him, this happened for years, until one day the guy died at work so he never returned but the dog kept coming everyday and waiting. And so when the dog died they built this bronze statue of the faithful dog.. we took some pix of that.. and then come back to the hotel, on the train we were sitting and then at one station a lot of people came on and two old ladies came and stood infront of us to hold on to the rails and they had suitcases with them, so I told my bro to get up and told them to sit down..LOL they were surprised, they didn’t believe it, they were like ‘hontou ni? Ii desu ka’ (really? Is that ok?) and I was like ‘hai hai dozo’ and they sat down and kept saying thankyou like 10 times LOL. I would never sit down if I saw an old person standing but I noticed all the young people sitting and no one getting up for old people to sit.. so I guess they really were surprised.. LOL..

AND I broke my promise to never go to starbucks, it was so cold on the way back and I wanted something hot so I stopped at starbucks, and I hated myself for it later..

Tomorrow were getting up early and going by shinkansen to takayama, it takes 4 hours, and 2 trains.. hope all goes well..

Fefechan just messaged me saying she arrived safely.. yokatta ne.. im glad you arrived safely and cant wait to hear what your first impressions of Japan are ;) please blog about it, yeah?

Bash, where are you? You aren’t commenting these day??!! Hope everything’s fine..

That’s it for now.. might upload pix if I can.. TC everyone :)

Japan Day 7

Yesterday, my bro got up at 12 and we left to odaiba at 1. To get to odaiba you cant go by normal trains, you have to go on the yurikamome, which is an elevated train that drives on its on, no one drives it. Its really nice coz you get to see lots of nice views. We went to a place called Becks beach, which is a huge shopping complex, and the outside is all wooden decks with a view of the sea.. really nice.. anyway, we went to joypolis first which is a sega indoor theme park, it was ok, nothing fantastic, I enjoyed the haunted house the most and kept screaming without realizing..it was fun but my bro wanted to leave so we didn’t stay that long. Then we went to a place called mediage right next to it which is a mall too and found a nice Italian restaurant and had lunch there.. after that my bro wanted to go akihabara again to see some engine for cars, not real cars, little remote control ones, but not the toy ones, the ones guys buy that use airplane fuel.. after that we went to McDoanlds and picked up some pie on our way back..

Not a very long day..

PS I don’t know what it is with eating, I just don’t get hungry.. everyday I only have one meal and even when I do im not really hungry I just eat coz my bro wants to.. its weird.. I should stay here maybe I’d lose some weight..

Fefechan is now on her way here I guess, I hope she arrives safely.. Can’t wait to meet her.. I hope you like it here as much as I do.. and omdedetou on finally fulfilling one of your dreams too ;)

Tomorrow we’re going by the shinkansen (bullet train) to takayama, I think it takes 2 hours and half or something.. we’re going to see the SNOW! Then we’re spending the night at a ryokan (which I hope will be nice) that has a private hot bath (onsen) in the room.. then the next morning we’re coming back here to the same hotel..

I still haven’t planned anything for today (except for going and reserving the shinkansen seats), I have to check my papers and see where we can go.. it’s a weekend so everywheres going to be heaving with people..

I spotted this from across the shop, then my bro told me that mubadala are the sponsors of Ferrari, didnt know that..

Day 6

Today I got up early again, and my bro slept till 12! Its getting really annoying.. we left at 1 to Odaiba. We went to a place called pallete town (paretto town) which has a huge Toyota show room, and a historical cars section with famous old cars.. thought my bro might like that.. it wasn’t really my type of thing but trying to please him.. then I told him I wanted to go to the mall that’s next door to the show room, and he was like ‘ I don’t want to walk around a mall, isn’t it time for lunch?’.After I walked around all these car places for a whole hour! I was so mad, I told him I don’t want lunch and let him go and eat by himself and I went in the mall.. a few minutes later he called and said he hadn’t eat, he said he’d wait for me to eat so we can go to a restaurant in the mall instead of McDonald’s. I thought, ok after I finish looking around we’ll go and eat. But I just started walking and hes like, tell me when your hungry. I told him, I wont be hungry for a while, hes like coz im resisting my hunger.. I was like WTH now I cant even look around, he wont eat alone, I have to go and eat too.. and I knew if we ate he wouldn’t want to walk around.. so I ignored him and walked around for an hour buying more gifts. Then we went to an Italian place and had lunch. After that, he was ready to leave but I insisted on riding the huge ferris wheel there.. its so huge and takes 20 mins to do a full circle but it was fun, except it was sooo windy outside that when we were up the thing kept swaying in the wind a bit, and I got scared.. lol not really scared, just worried.. anyways, then we went inot the game arcade downstairs for about 40 mins. I went straight for the purikura booths, which were all in Japanese but I managed to get pix in the end.. and my bro played on those car games thingies for such a long time and I just waited patiently..

Then on our way back, where do you think we got dinner from, yes, you guessed it, McDonalds!

PS we bought some mocha with cream thing in it today but I didn’t like it at all..

Didn’t take many pix but if I can I’ll upload some.

Cheers

day 5

Last night before I went to bed I asked my bro what time does he want to get up so we can go out, and he was like ‘for god’s sake it’s a holiday we don’t have to put an alarm to get up early’ by early he means leaving by 11. That’s definitely not early, he stays up all night on the internet, then snorze the rest of the night so I cant sleep, and then doesn’t get up till noon. I got up at 9:30 since I knew theres no way he would get up early, I went online and waited for him to get up. At 11 I started waking him up and told him if he didn’t get up I’d go out alone, I told him mum said I could, and he said ‘your mums not here now. I tell you wether to go out or not’! I cant believe he said that, I tried very hard not to cry and ignored it and told him to get the **** up!

Finally, we left at qauarter to one! All the morning had passed! I was so mad at him, and its not like we were going somewhere I wanted to go, we were going back to Tokyo tower coz he wanted to go to the wax mueum there.. which turned out to be absolutely horrible! Nothing worth watching, just money and time wasted! Then hes like, now what? So I said I want to go to Harajuku to a couple of places to get gifts, so we went, and we spent a fortune there! I have so many gifts to buy and everything is expensive, well not everything but the things I want to buy are expensive.. we went to this place called kiddy land.. we didn’t realize it was 5 floors, we only went to the first floor and spent a 1000 there.. then we saw that there were other floors.. and we went to other places too, and I found a place with all celebrity stuff (have to take you there fefe) and bought some stuff there.. Then my bro decided he wanted to eat when he saw, none other than, McDonals! LOL so he went and I went in a shop nearby.. then we came back to the hotel, left by 1, back by 4! Not long enough, and 4 is just the beginning of the evening, I would’ve liked to go out again but I knew my bro would say hes tired so I didn’t say anything..

Hes really getting on my nerves, we’ve never been close coz I never really see him, hes never at home, but now spending time with him, hes really getting on my nerves! Never smiles or anything, always complaining, or talking about japan and Japanese people in a bad way.. keeps saying what a horrible country it is, and wont listen to whatever I have to say.. I wish I’d came with my dad, it would’ve been so much more fun and enjoyable.. my mum said to remember that this holiday is for me and he is just with me to accompany me and it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t have fun, its my graduation present! But its easier to take him somewhere he likes than to have to drag him around with me with his sour face and horrible comments about everything..

Anyways, I didn’t take many pics but I’ll upload what I have..

Hope everyones doing great, I miss everyone..

TC

Random photos from all the past days

Hey everyone, please let me know what kind of pix u want to see.. more people? more weird stuff? what exactly?
Cant believe fefechan will come! YAY!

A lot of people use bikes, you see bikes everywhere, and most of the time they dont even lock them up they just leave them there, i guess coz the crime rate is so low..
Two other japanese teenagers, as you can see one has a mask, and the man behind him too, anyone whose sick wears these so they dont make other people sick, how considerate of them! i wouldnt do that! LOL
Vending machines everywhere, how much can these people drink!
Pachinko parlour

Day 4 photos-2

This is what a typical Tokyoite looks like. Unlike americans, they always look elegant even if what they're wearing looks really cheap.
The girls/boys (who knows) that i spotted from tokyo tower playing sports at school..
Tokyo tower in the evening
The outside of the hotel at night, looks like christmas or something, every single tree has lights on it, even the bushes..

continuation of day 4

First of all let me say, YAY!!!!!!! im so excited! fefechan is coming, can't wait to see you guys here! let me know all the details ;)

My bro didn’t get up from his nap, it took me an hour and 30 mins to wake him up to go get dinner coz I was hungry. I was going to leave him sleeping and go but didn’t want him to worry. So we didn’t get to go to Harajuku after all, we went to the town center near the station where all the restaurant and LIFE is.. its so quite near the hotel coz its all shrines and stuff.. it only took us 10 mins to get there.. we found McDonald’s in our face, but I told my bro no way I was having it twice in a day, so we found Wendy’s and my bro said we’d go there.. but I spotted a little teeny weeny sign that says ‘house of magic spices’ LOL I thought, that must be an Indian restaurant, no one would call a restaurant such a stupid name.. lol..jk no offense to Indian, but they are so creative with names.. so we went there and it was packed with Japanese people but we decided to stay nonetheless since I desperately wanted some RICE (which, funny enough, I rarely eat at home). So we went and had dinner there.. and when it came time to pay the bill, the waiter came and handed the bill to my bro coz hes the one that told him we want it, and my bro pointed at me, hes like ‘give it to her’. And he gave it to me (I have all the money you see) and a couple next to us, looked so shocked, maybe they thought we were a couple or on a date or something, and me and my bro burst out laughing, and then they just smiled at us..

Then I decided I wanted something sweet (I didn’t even touch my dinner except for spoonfuls of rice, don’t know whats up with me, and my bro keeps calling me a mouse, he says you eat like a mouse coz I cant even finish a burger). Since we couldn’t find any ice-cream (I know its freezing, 3 degrees actually, but were crazy) or doughnut places, we decided our best bet was McDonalds for some hot apple pie.. we got some and on the way back to the hotel I taught my bro some Japanese, and then every time someone passed us he would say it in a weird accent LOL and they turn around and look at him LOL not in a bad way.. we just got back, got milk on the way, and now im enjoying a cup of tea (brought my own teabags ;) ) with my pie..

PS we noticed something about restaurants here, their napkins are almost plastic, they are so glossy and they’re not like tissues, almost like paper.. they don’t wipe a thing.. if you try to wipe water for example, it wont absorb it.. my bro says probably coz its been recycled so much or something..

I’ll try to upload pix later..

Hope your all doing fine and enjoying your holiday. Miss you all..TC

Day 4 photos

A pic of tokyo tower out of our room window..

a pic of the old ryokan, bash asked for it.. here it is.. lol dont ask what the whole in the duvet is, i have no idea, but all ryokans are like that.. buts its really comfy..

Japan day 4

Today we had to get up ealry since check out is at 10 and we wanted to leave before. We came to the hotel we’re in now not knowing if our booking had actually gone through, but thank god it had. What a huge change this place is from the ryokan we were in last night, my bro keeps saying its all my faults coz I wanted to stay in the Japanese inns, hes like ‘it would’ve been better if we’d just come here from the beginning’.. but im glad we went to a Japanese inn, the first one was actually quite decent, not up to my expectations but it was ok.. at least I got to experience that, and now im glad im back in a normal hotel with all its modern luxuries.. the hotel is right across tokyo tower, I’ll post a pic, its right outside our window.. sweet! So we went to Tokyo tower to the top observatory, it’s a really nice view (I took a pix of students playing sports at a school ;) ) then we went for lunch there, McDonald’s again.. lol.. the japanese have a very complicated rubbish-throwing technique! And its written in Japanese so I really have no idea what it is.. I think you throw all food in one rubbish bin, staws and cups in another, but after pouring your drink down a drain.. something like that.. anyways, I went to throw the drinks and I saw a bin with a drinks sign on it so I just threw it in, and a Japanese guy sitting close by shook his head ‘no’ and say tch tch tch.. lol.. I was so embaressed but I didn’t know what to do.. anyways, then we went to the many shops they have there in the Tokyo tower building, all full of omiyage kind of thing, (souvineers) so I bought loads of stuff from there.. then we went to the conbini that’s in the hotel, everything is so much more expensive than a normal conbini, but we bought loads of things anyways, sweets and drinks and stuff.. now im settling down for a hot cup of tea, except we don’t have milk so I sent my bro down to get some.. its so cold.. but I like it.. its 4 oclock now, and im thinking of going to harajuku theres a bookstore I want to go to..

PS fefechan, I found a place in Tokyo tower complex that sells all celebritiy things, but they have everyone except yamapi.. I only found a yamapi keyring which I got for both of us.. but I’ll go back and see again.. they had lots of kazuya kamenashi stuff which I got for myself, already put some of the dangly things on my bag.. im turning Japanese, trying to put as much dangly things as possible on my bag lol..

PPS when we were buying the celebrity stuff, my bro was eating m&ms that he got from a hello kitty machine, you put a cup and then put 100 yen and you get m&ms in a the cute cups.. he had it and the old lady selling told him oishii ne? and he just smiled, then she told the other ‘mite okashi’ (look sweets) and she looked at the hello kitty cup in his hands and started laughing, she was like kawaii kawaii LOL and I was translationg for my bro who says shes just jealous coz she doesn’t have teeth to eat the m&ms.. LOL

Bbye, I’ll add photos as soon as I can

Day 2 photos

This girl was just stnading there in her cosplay outfit waiting for someone to notice her, and a guy did and asked for a photo, then everyone started taking pix, including us, i guess thats how to get attention if you want it ;)
Random building in akihabara..
Everything is so bright!
They had lots of cute stuff at the game arcades, especially rilakkuma, hes so famous for some reason..
not a very good pic, i know, but just look at the typical Japanese guy, thats what they look like, tight trousers, long wild hair, funky boots, and shoulder/hand bags..
They have these (i dont know what they're called) everywhere, rows upon rows of them, i got some cute stuff from them..

I just had to take a photo of him ;) and the guy in the shop looked at me like, i know why your taking a pic of the laptop.. lol.. no kidding..

Japan day 3

Today i got up early to find that my bro had fallen asleep on the sofa..LOL.. anyways, since he liked the cheese sandwiches so much yesterday i thought i'd be a nice sister and go get him some for breakfast.. its a 20 minute walk but i thought its ok i need to excercise.. when i got there, the shop is in akihabara, there were millions of people around.. mostly boys in school uniforms walking around, why not a school? i dont know.. anyways, i got there and the guy said they start their oven or whatever at 11, its was 10 to 11 so i decided to walk around.. i walked around then came and sat in there waitng, it took 10 mins to make, and 10 mins waiting, then 20 mins to get back to the hotel.. we had to check out at 12, so i tried to wake my bro up and gave him his breakfast but he was so ungreatful.. lol.. i felt like, why did i even bother.. and i had gotten him a startbucks caramel latte coz hes been buying it since we came, he said why did you get this, i dont like it.. i was like, like it or leave it.. i dont care..
anyways, then we checked out but the check in at the second place was at 4 so the kind old man said he'd keep our luggae and so we went to akihabara since my bro said he wanted to go again and buy stuff.. when we got there he wouldnt look at anything, just walked like a zombie.. i told him wont you look at the shops, i didnt plan anything i wanted to do since you said you wanted to come here today.. he was like, im too tired to look.. i want to go somehwere else.. i was like, wehere? i didnt plan anything coz of you and now you dont want to look at anything.. i got so frustrated and felt like hitting him but i ignored my erges and said what the heck, i'll do what i want and ill drag him around, so i took him back to shijuku to marie's favourite department store, takashimaya, which takes up 15 whole floors.. i went to HMV and got some CDs, Kattun, NEWS, and gackt.. the guys looking at CDs there were looking at me in a weird way..LOL.. then we went back for our luggae and through 3 stations with heavy suitcases to finally arrive here.. the ryokan looks nice from outside and the lobby and hallways, but the room is TINY and we both hate it.. at the other ryokan we had a hallway, living room, bedroom, bathroom, toilet.. here only one room with a bathroom and toilet for double the price of the other place.. so we're now looking for somewhere else to go.. we might go back to the first ryokan if we find a booking.. were looking at normal western style hotels but almost everything is booked! were having such a hard time finding anything good..

PS today i talked to a girl giving out ad papers (inside tissue packets, thats what they do here, so you take it). i asked her where the station was when we were in akihabara since we couldnt find it.. she looked so shocked when i talked japanese, its not like i said poerty or something just one single sentence.. lol.. but then she smiled and was really helpful.. i also shocked another taxi driver when i talked japanese lol, then he started saying stuff and i didnt understand a thing, so i was like, i dont speak japanese, and he looked at me like he was saying what a lier.. lol

So, we're hoping to move tomorrow.. we'll see.. i hope it all goes well, i dont want to spend all day tomorrow looking for hotels and not having fun..

im going to upload some pix now since i couldnt yesterday..

ignore all the spelling/grammatical mistakes..

Japan day 2-cont.

We decided to go to the hyaku en store only to find that it is a really small one with not much stuff in it.. and then as we left the store and turned around we found out we were in akihabara town.. we didnt know it was so close.. akihabara is electronics heaven with over 2000 electronics shops, some big, some small.. it was sooo busy but so much fun.. i ended up buying more things than my bro.. but it was too big to go everywhere so after 4 hours we decided we'd go back again tomorrow and buy more stuff.. h and we found lots of poeple doing cosplay there, where they dress up as french maids or cats or stuff lol, i took some pix but it was really hard to take any.. on the way back we spotted an inidan resturanut selling showarma so we decided to get some, and we got some bread n cheese thingy, which was so cheesy and delicious *like a cheese sandwhich from a bakery at home but filled with so much melted cheese, yumm*. again, i didnt eat much today, i should be coz of all the walking but for some reason im not hungry at all.. oh and on our way to the station in the morning they were filling a movie or dorama on the bridge so they made us stop so they could film some shots, the lead actor was so cute but i didnt recognize him from anywhere..
tomorrow we're going to the other ryokan which i hope is better than this one, although this one is not too bad except for the bathroom.. its actually quite nice.. the old japanese guy here is so nice, he told me he would keep our luggage for us for 4 hours after check-out as the check-in at the other place is at 4, and here the check-out is 12.. he keeps talking to me in japanese, but everytime i come up to him to ask something i speak english and hes like, you are the one that knows some japanese yeah? and i say yeah and he starts talking a mile a minute lol..
so i guess tomorrow we're going back to akihabara 'akiba' and then checking in at the other place and maybe wander around that neighbourhood see what there is to do..

oh and we went to game arcades today which was fun and all the games have cute prizes but i didnt win much.. oh and a drunk man almost fell on me today, now i know what alcohol smells like, it stinks, on the trains at night you can really smell it so strong..
thats it, will try to upload pix..
tc everyone

Japan day 2-shinjuku

Today it took forever to wake my bro up, finally at 11 he got up.. everyone in the hotel left, and i heard the woman at the fron desk tell the cleaner we were the only room left.. i wish my bro would get up earlier.. i was already dressed when he got up so i went up the road to the conbini and got us some breakfast sandwiches *their bread is heavenly* and some starbucks coffee which they sell everywhere.. he still wasnt ready when i got back but anyways after breakfast we went to shinjuku coz he wanted to go to some electronics stores.. its like a maze their with all the shops having like 4 doors or something..it was fun and very busy coz its the weekend.. it wasnt raining today but it was so windy and the wind burns your face coz its so cold.. my coat is thick enough, its only my face that gets cold.. then we went over to McDonalds for lunch, and my bro ordered a teriyaki burger, after two bites he asked me 'teriyaki is usually with chicken yeah? i said i didnt know so he left his burger uneaten.. i guess it tasted weird.. after we finished eating and went to throw our stuff, my bro threw it all in one opening, afterwards he noticed one says for fries n burgers, and one for drinks.. oh well.. the train back was extremely packed and we had to stand up all the way but thank god its not that far, and you have people all around you standing, but its not that bad.. then walking back to the hotel we stopped at 2 conbinis to get sweets that i want to bring back for everyone..didnt find much weird stuff but i'll look again..
oh and on our way back we say an indian resutarant, really posh place, so my bro went in to ask if they had chai karak LOL i though they wouldnt coz it looks so posh but they did, but no take away he said.. so we'll go next time.. since its so cold we need all the hot drinks we can find..
at ryokans (japanese inns) they always put a yukata for you (summer kimono) to wear in the room and even around the ryokan if you want.. i got one out and tried it on, its like a kimono, really nice..
thats all for now, i've just asked the guy at the front desk about the nearest hyaku-en store, i want to go and see if they're any differnt than daiso at home..
i took loads of pix today but i'll upload some later..
oh and for some reason, kame from kattun was on TV yesterday on 4 differnt things, first a dorama about some nun and boxing and something, then interview with cooking show, then a music show, and finally another interview, and then it became too much cuteness for me to bare so i went to sleep..
its so warm inside with the heaters.. nice!
bbye everyone, ttyl
