Images of Grandeur

When uncle John and his family were here my mum saw this article about tours at Sheikh Zayed's mosque which is the third largest mosque in the world according to Wikipedia. uncle John and Katie were really interested so we decided to all go. It was sooo grand and beautiful, no wonder, since it cost more than 2 billion dollars, has one of the largest chandeliers in the world plus the world's largest carpet among other things.

I didn't take any photos from the outside since it was VERY windy :/ Anyways, sorry if the quality sucks, i had to resize the photos to almost 20-30% of their original size!

the detail on the ceiling, such an intricate design and all handmade

The carpet was funky.. there were like 5 main designs in different colours but i don't want to bore you so one pic of the carpet is enough i guess.. ^^

PS fefechan, i thought of your sis S as soon as i got in coz i thought shes such a good photographer, she'd take amazing photos unlike me LOL
