nothing much

Thursday, nothing interesting happened except i let bash drive my car back home which was funny coz i kept telling he how to drive LOL.. shes definitely a better driver than me but i didnt want her to do anything to the car since i had an acceident in it before and i only just fixed the bumper less than a month ago so im not ready for another accident.. she kept driving on the white line, half in one lane and half in another, and i was like 'choose a lane, dont drive over the line' and she was like 'but the road is empty', im like 'thats not the point'..anyways we arrived home safely, i dont mean about bash's driving, i mean we arrived without me murdering her XD

At work, i worked my *** off.. nothing interesting.

Friday we went over to my uncle's for lunch and then went to my sister's house coz she had a part for her daughter but we didnt stay and went out for dinner..

Today we had people over including marie-sensei and we sat and talked about Japanese dramas and japan the whole time LOL she was telling me the Proposal Daisakusen's special will be out soon and she just like me cant wait to see kurosagi the movie.. She asked me if i would tutor her Japanese friend's little daughter whose 5, both the parents are Japanese and dont speak any Arabic obviously and the daughter has just started Arabic classes at school and they cant help her with her homework so they want someone to help her. I told her im too busy with my internship but if she wants one day on the weekend maybe i could.. i'll get to practice some Japanese too i guess.. we'll see what happens..

Me and Marie are planning to go to the Japanese restaurant soon and she said she'd let her friend Yoriko who ive met once come along.. should be fun.. but im too busy so i dont know when that'll happen.. Marie's little boy kept saying 'nani' the whole day, at anything and anyone..hes so cute..

I want to start a diet, now that i lost a couple of kilos when i got sick i feel motivated to lose some more weight.. especially since the past week at work we've been eating out, italian, chinese, indian, all food thats fattening and not good for you.. im still thinking what i can have thats not so fattening but im not really sure..

Fefechan told me today that Yamapi wont be graduating this academic year.. too bad, it would've been cool if he graduated now and had his first movie out.. zannen desu.. i cant beleive im going to graduate soon..

Fefechan i really miss you, i havnt seen you for so long.. reemy-chan too!

We used our chocolate fountain for the first time today, of course i wasn't as excited as everyone else since i don't like chocolate.. but it looks cool anyway.. the kids were dipping marshmallows and sucking the chocolate and dipping them in again..eew..

PS i was thinking what would happen if i lost all my posts, if blogger crashed or something.. i would be so mad.. maybe i should start printing all my posts and keep them or something..

Highlights of a boring day

First of all, thanks Cami for "my idea of heaven", its really nice.

Highlights from my day, cant be bothered to write in detail (although no one cares anyways XD)

6:15 my alarm woke me up with the most annoying noise ever!
6:30 still in my warm bed, all covered up and dreading having to put my feet on the cold tiles.
7:05 leaving to work
8:30 got the yummies smelling "English toffee" coffee drink thingy (we used to buy it, bash had it at our house, and ever since shes been having it every single day at work)
11:00 working hard since the morning
12:00 The Finance manager calls me into her office and tells me they will give me an exam which they give people seeking an accounting position at their company, she said its only to get feedback coz everyone says its hard so she wants to know what i think.. I was like **** im not at uni and i still have to take exams, i've already forgotten everything anyways..
1:40 Bash texts me to tell me she has a Japanese guy in her office, i text back, can i come over and say hi.. i probably would've gone LOL pretending to want Bash but i was swamped with work

We order food so i kept asking her everytime she called wether it was there yet.. i was starving!

4:00 my bro text to see if ive arrived home safely LOL i text back saying i only just finish and havnt even left work yet
4:05 while waiting for bash to get her stuff (she left with me today) as i left her office this guy was in my face so i was like bismillah and he was like w3aleekom essalam XD
4:10 i reverse out of the parking a bit fast, or maybe very fast, Bash's like i hope i get home safe.
4:35 stopped at the petrol station after Bash almost drove me crazy so she could get some ice cream ;)
4:45 i wanted to turn to the right at the bridge so a while before i put on my indicator and started moving in the lane on the right where there was a white car a bit far behind that had been driving slowly for a while, as soon as i tried to enter the lane he was in, he accelerated, and i panicked and tried to accelerate but he started going so fast, and i swear he missed us by inches, i was so mad coz he was going so slowly and suddenly when i decided i want to turn he drove so fast and almost drove into the back of my car..
5:45 Bash left or was it later? cant remember.

Although i started work yesterday, or rather my internship, Bash was at a conference in another city so we didn't see each other there. So today we decided that she would pick me up on her way to work, and she did. She told me to bring some CDs along,i brought some awesome techno CDs XD which im glad Bash liked, even if she didn't, i would've made her listen to them all the way to work anyways.. We got there a bit early so she showed me around, her office, and the garden outside and so on. Before it was even 8, her phone was ringing so i decided to go to my own workstation and let her get on with her work. At 8:15 or so one of the ladies there arrived and was surprised to see me there filing stuff (another woman told me to do it the day before so i was just completeing it). Then i went back to my workstation waiting for the woman in charge of me to arrived, when she did she went out for coffee or something and i sat there waiting. By 9 she came back and explained all about the petty cash account to me and gave me a list she wanted me to sort out. It was a list with like "coffee and tea" and i had to figure out what account to put it in, e.g. "office supplies". So i did it although some were really challenging.. then i sat waiting for her to come back since she kept disappearing all the time, when she did appear it was for a few seconds and she was talking to the other woman there and i couldn't get a word in edge ways.. (fefechan, a new one for you).. So, at about 1:45 she had still not seen what i'd done and she had already had her 1:15 min long lunch break so i went on mine. I went with bash and two of her friends to the cafeteria to eat, and we shared some laughs..

At about 3:30 after i had been sitting bored for a couple of hours, the one in charge of me decided she would see what i'd done. She changed some of the things i'd done.. now, i wouldn't have cared if what she did was actually right but she messed everything up. Let me show you what i mean, like the 'coffee and tea" which she told me goes into "office supplies". There were 5 bills for coffee and tea, she put 3 as belonging to the "office supplies" and changed two of them as belonging to "stationary"! I was like WTH, coffee and tea! Stationary! I wouldn't mind if all 5 were in stationary but only 2 and the rest somewhere else, whats the point of categorizing them and putting them into accounts?! Trying to be diplomatic and not tell her its wrong i was like, "oh i think you confused this with this.. you've put coffee and tea as stationary.." she was like "let me see.. no, its right" so i was like "OK". At 3:45, just 15 mins before work officially ends she decided she wanted the whole list in excel classified into different accounts with the accounts numbers and totals and what not. I almost cried right then, from frustration since ive been free all day and now she was giving me the same papers ive had all day and asking me to do something that needs a whole hour if not more. So i worked on it as quick as i can but by 4 i was only halfway through, but she had told me that she needs it by tomorrow morning, and then she heard me on the phone to Bash telling her that i cant leave coz i still have work and she was like, its ok you can leave. I was like, does she really need this tomorrow or not, i dont want to come in at 8 and they want it at 8:15 and have to work like crzay so i told her i would stay and work on it.She left at 4 anyways..

Earlier, i'd been nagging Bash about her staying after hours and told her if shes taking me home then she better finish at 4, but when she called at 4 i told her i still didnt finish and she burst out laughing, coz it was like role-reversal.. Anyways, we left at 4:30 and Bash's mum called to say she wanted something from the supermarket so we decided to go to the mall nearby, we both went crazy in the sweets isle and bought everything we could think of, i bought lots of stuff coz they had sweets that we used to buy in England that they dont sell here.. and i finally got some pocari sweat.. thank goodness for that.. then we decided to eat, again LOL so we went and ate.

Then on the way home the car started making a funny noise, (it happened in the morning once too), and Bash stopped at the nearest possible place which happened to be the Civil Defence! She stopped the car and opened the hood and was looking at the engine like she knows what its all about, i got out for moral support.. she was like, this doesnt look normal (not sure what exactly) and as were standing there minding our own business we see this guy wearing a Civil Defence uniform coming towards us, he was like are you ok and stuff and we explained about the noise, so he looked at the engine and said it looks fine, then he took the oil pipe thingy out to see it, and bash was like "whoa its burnt" he looked at her strangely and was like, "no this is very new" and i was elbowing Bash telling her to shut up ;P since she didnt know what she was talking about.. A few mins later we saw 3 other men coming our way, all in the same uniform, anyways they tried to figure out what was wrong but couldnt find anything so Bash told one of them, drive it around the parking area and see.. as he drove off, we all forgot about the noise which was the original complaint coz we were shocked to see the reverse lights on when he was driving forward! We were like WTH, what now! Anyways, they managed to turn that light off and said the car would be safe to drive even with the noise but she should get it checked out.. What an experience!

Then all the way home whenever a car came by with a loud noise i'd jump thinking its Bash's car.. I'm definitely going to work in my car tomorrow..

WOW such a long post, just one last thing to say, i've just received a present from my uncle, when i asked my dad what its for (he delivered it) he was like its for your graduation! LOL ive already had my graduation gift from my dad (going to Japan) and now my uncle and its only the beginning of the semester.. what if i dont graduate! LOL

Shigoto to umi

Don't laugh, thats my sandcastle XD its the first time we go to the beach with no little kids so i decided that I would build a sandcastle instead, but all i had was a little plastic cup :P

Bash wrote our names in the sand.. i don't even know if i took this pic or her since we mixed up cameras..

I didn't want to say anything before in case i jinxed myself LOL but i've chosen not to go to Deloitte & Touche although they are such a great place for any accounting students but due to some reasons im not going there, instead im going to be working where BASH works! We're both excited LOL although we won't see each other much but im sure its going to be fun.. I have a meeting tomorrow to discuss some things with the Accounting Department manager and hopefully i'll start work on Monday..

We went to the beach today and bash came along, and my sis H had a friend too, and my little sis S had a friend along too.. so it was fun.. although i got sunburnt and it burns like hell! my cheeks and nose are soo red! forgot sunscreen.. but NEVER again! Bash brought her sister's camera along and its the same as mine, so half way through the morning we accidently took the others' camera, and only realized it before we left LOL so we had to exchange photos.. There were these lounger chairs there that we pulled into the water, just were its really shallow and sat there listening to japanese music and talking, an hour later we see my mum calling and waving at us but we didnt get what she was saying, she came over to say that the water was rising and would soon reach the loungers and we'd get wet.. i was like, its ok, we'll just sit for a bit them pull them a bit out.. as soon as my mum went a huge wave came and i was soaked.. moral of the story, always listen to your mum, she knows what shes talking about.. many funny incidents happened, bash's glasses even fell in the water.. and i even built a sandcastle, LOL, with a small plastic cup ;P tanoshikatta!

Yesterday my dad took us out to a Chinese restaurant, i say took us but it doesn't mean he invited us, LOL, we invited him, but we made him pay too ;) oishikatta!

Not much else to say really.. ive been watching bara no nai hanaya which is really good.. first dorama i watch with an older couple but its nice.. older i mean 30s, not 70s or something LOL..

When uncle John and his family were here my mum saw this article about tours at Sheikh Zayed's mosque which is the third largest mosque in the world according to Wikipedia. uncle John and Katie were really interested so we decided to all go. It was sooo grand and beautiful, no wonder, since it cost more than 2 billion dollars, has one of the largest chandeliers in the world plus the world's largest carpet among other things.

I didn't take any photos from the outside since it was VERY windy :/ Anyways, sorry if the quality sucks, i had to resize the photos to almost 20-30% of their original size!

Vinegar & chips, and Gackt

I never thought i'd say this, or even live to hear anyone else say it, but our vinegar is not sour enough! I had chips (not crisps, i mean french fries) and i tried every vinegar we have (white vinegar, malt vinegar, salad vinegar) and i wasn't satisfied! I had to dip my chips in vinegar then salt to get the level of sourness i was seeking LOL

Anyways, I just couldn't resist posting this song, its rather old but i like it.. he looks like hes about to kill someone LOL hes just so emotional in his songs

This week's headlines

Ima gets no response after interview, should she be worried?
I went to the interview on Sunday, it went really well and the woman said she'd call me later that day but she didn't. Then she didn't call yesterday either! I'm pretty sure they're going to accept me but i really need to start THIS week! I've already lost one week working somewhere else, one week sick, so i need to start this week or im afraid i might be able to graduate in June :( strangely enough, im being very calm about it all.. Oh well, it will work out im sure..

No tea, no life!
I miss tea! Before i got sick i used to drink up to 8 cups of tea a day, im not talking little cups here, actually more like mugs! whenever i did anything i had a cup of tea in my hand.. then when i was sick i couldn't drink anything obviously, and as soon as i was well enough i came to drink a cup of tea and it just tasted so AWFUL! I've tried a couple of times now but it just tastes fowl.. so ive switched to coffee which i don't particularly like anyways, i don't like the smell or the taste, but i need something to drink! I hope i can get back to my tea soon, i miss it! and one or 2 cups of coffee a day are just not doing it for me!

I was just reading the latest blog entry in one of my favourite blogs and i realized ive been following this girl's life forever, so i went to her archives to see how long its been, and its been almost 4 years! wow thats a really long time.. do you guys read a lot of blogs? I know i do.. mostly its people living in Japan or related to it someway LOL..

Acting casual
Oh the weirdest thing happened yesterday! I have this girl who i was friends with for a very long time, but somehow she changed and it was hard to be her friend anymore. remember i said something about 'emotionally draining friendships' before, well shes the one.. anyways, so i stopped talking to her after a big fight in April of last year.. she kept trying to get hold of me but i tried my best to keep her out of my life (im not mean, really, but she was messing up my life).. and so yesterday my phone rang and it was a strange number and i decided to pick up thinking it might be the lady from the interview. It turned out to be her instead and she was like, 'hi! long time no see.. what have you been up to?' and i was so shocked by how casual she was that i almost closed the phone in her face LOL but i answered her reluctantly, like nothing had every happened.. turned out she wanted a favour, she has a cat and wanted me to take her in or find her a home since she has to get rid of her and doesn't know anyone who wants one, i told her im sorry i don't know anyone.. and she was 'oh too bad.. ok.. never mind then.. keep in touch dear..' and she closed leaving me dumbstruck! I didn't know what to think LOL im so glad it turned out to be a very harmless situation, which is strange for her, but im definitely not keeping in touch.. ive been burnt once.. never again..
